  • An Inclusive and Welcoming atmosphere: You don’t have to have any yoga experience to come to our prenatal classes! The practices offered here are accessible and simple, yet powerful.

  • Connection and community with other pregnant people: Our classes include time for checking in, asking questions, and building connection within the group.

  • Empowerment: Prenatal Yoga practice centers around feeling into your own experience and choosing movements and options that feel good to you and help to reconnect you to your intuitive wisdom and trust in your body.

What to Expect:

  • Rest: After settling in and checking in, our classes offer the deeply restful meditative practice of Yoga Nidra to support the deep inner work of the body, mind, and heart. Many of our students say this is their favorite part of class!

  • Breath Practices: Our classes include several simple but powerful breathing practices to help center the mind during pregnancy, labor, and parenthood.

  • Rhythmic Movement: Prenatal yoga incorporates many rhythmic and circular movements. These practices are soothing to the mind while providing space to explore larger or smaller movements depending on the needs of your body on that particular day.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is this class offered?

Our prenatal series is currently offered on Wednesday evenings, from 5:30-7pm. We also offer a Women’s Wellness series on Saturdays from 10-11:30 that welcomes pregnant students.

Is this series suitable for all stages of pregnancy?

Yes! You are welcome in this class whether you’ve just found out you are pregnant or you are 39.5 weeks pregnant (or more). Our classes are adaptable and nourishing for all stages of pregnancy.

Do I need to have yoga experience to come to class?

Nope! These classes are inclusive and welcoming to all levels of fitness and all bodies.

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in. Anything from sweats to yoga pants can work, so long as you feel comfortable and can access a free range of movement.

What should I bring to class?

We recommend bringing a water bottle and a yoga mat, if you have one. If you don’t have a mat, don’t worry! We have mats in the studio that you can use.

Can my partner come with me?

We love that your partner wants to be involved in your journey. However, this class is for pregnant people only, and the practices are intended to connect you to your own body. For partner participation, we recommend checking out other birthing classes like Bradley Method, where you and your partner work together to build skills for labor and birth.

What if I can’t make it to all the classes in a month?

If you know ahead of time that you won’t be able to make all the classes in a monthly series, we are happy to prorate the cost for you, so you only pay for the classes you’ll be attending.

What if I have to cancel a class last minute?

We understand life can be unpredictable and chaotic. As long as you give us some advance notice that you’ll be missing class, we are happy to provide you with credit towards a future class or series.
