Yoga for women’s Health
We recognize and affirm that women’s bodies experience many different changes through life, and that a successful yoga practice needs to adapt to those changing needs.
From menarche, through menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum healing, and menopause, our bodies are governed by the deep rhythms and power of life itself.
Yoga Luna offers events, classes, workshops, and series to support these changing needs through women’s lives. We see each of these seasons as necessary steps in our evolution through which we can use our yoga to pass into deeper levels of knowing and wisdom.
These monthly gatherings provide a space to connect to the power of the deep feminine and celebrate the many cycles of life, including the lunar cycle and the menstrual cycle. Space is held for reconnection, rest, movement, sound, mudra, mantra, and more.
We offer prenatal yoga as a monthly series to support community and connection. This course supports you through the many changes of pregnancy and empowers you to birth your baby with authority and trust.
Classes include time for checking in, time for deeply restorative Yoga Nidra, and time for movement and breath practices to support the body, mind, and heart through this transformation.
Movement practices are always tailored to the needs of the students as voiced during our check in period, so everyone has a chance to address their needs and be held and supported within the circle.
Womb Yoga is offered as a combination class available to prenatal students, postpartum, students, and women at all stages of life. It is offered as a monthly series and also available as a drop in class.
This class focuses on practices for pelvic health that are adaptable for pregnancy and postpartum care, and on supporting the postpartum body through its healing process while providing space for connecting with your baby along the way. Non-mobile babies are welcome in this course.
