Yoga for women’s Health

Women’s bodies experience many different changes through life, from menarche through menstruation, pregnancy, postpartum healing, and menopause. We believe a successful yoga practice needs to adapt to those changing needs to nurture each life stage and its unique expression in our bodies and minds.

Yoga Luna offers events, classes, workshops, and series to support these changing needs through women’s lives. We see each of these seasons as necessary steps in our evolution through which we can use our yoga to pass into deeper levels of knowing and wisdom.

These monthly gatherings provide a space to connect to the power of the deep feminine and celebrate the cycles of life and nature, including the lunar cycle and the menstrual cycle. Space is held for reconnection, restful yoga nidra, movement, and mindful breathwork.

We offer prenatal yoga and postpartum yoga as monthly series to support community and connection. These courses support you through the many changes of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery and provide you with accessible, powerful tools you can use on your own.

Classes include time for checking in, time for deeply restorative Yoga Nidra, and time for movement and breath practices to support the body, mind, and heart through this transformation.

Movement practices are always tailored to the needs of the students as voiced during our check in period, so everyone has a chance to address their needs and be supported within the circle.

Womb Yoga is offered as a combination class available to prenatal students, postpartum, students, and women at all stages of life. It is offered as a monthly series and also available as a drop in class.

This class focuses on practices for pelvic health that are adaptable for pregnancy and postpartum care, and on supporting the postpartum body through its healing process while providing space for connecting with your baby along the way. Non-mobile babies are welcome in this course.
